From the edge of the forest I stare across these fields of green. A slight drizzle has got me wrapped up in my winter coat. Warm and cozy, watching the sunrise.
The silence is unmatched. From the loudest, most crowded places on the planet I have descended into the summum of tranquility.
This is where serenity surfaces, where my head finds peace. A spot where even the relentless savage living in my head seems to apologise for its existence.
I do not speak, I do not move. My breath is all there is to be heard. I let down my guards and lay down all my weapons. There is no need to shield myself from anything. All I’ll be fighting is gravity - hardly an enemy.
Secluded from the world, playing truant from society. Numerous anecdotes obtained in foreign countries and a reunion with former familiar faces are the only passengers that are riding my current train of thought.
This hidden patch of earth in never-ever land is pure bliss. Just me, myself and my ambivalence.
The ambivalence that keeps slow dancing in my mind. Longing to stay and the urge to leave are holding hands, whispering sweet nothings, smiling seductively. Hoping to persuade the other. Moving their feet to the rhythm of indecisiveness.
I merely breathe in the freshest air and let it be.
Somewhere out there I’m questioning if certain questions will ever truly be answered.
